Hi all,

I'm sure this problem will have been reported before, but I can't find any thread on the subject.

I have a 2015 registered Captur DCi .  Whenever it is left in direct sunlight during hot weather the alarm goes off repeatedly.  This only stops if the sun goes in, or I move the car into the shade.  Very annoying!

Renault claim that they've never heard of this happening before and can find no fault with my alarm.  I find it very difficult to believe I'm the only one to experience this problem.  I know we only get a few days of hot weather here in the UK, but it would be nice to resolve this issue if possible!

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help, and apologies if this has been posted before.

Don't know if this has any bearing but my car has the Cobra alarm fitted and I understand that it has a pressure sensor inside the car. Could the rise in temperature increase the pressure and trigger the alarm? It's a long shot I know but just trying to help

A guy I work with has made the same suggestion, but we're not sure how to resolve it?

I wouldn't give much credence to what Renault say, and I shouldn't think they are up to much in car alarm tech. I'd contact a local specialist who could recognise and fix the problem instead of wasting time with an uninterested dealer. Sorry that this isn't the answer you would like but I fear it's the best advice I can offer
