Quick question guys but is there any SD card port on the Medianav S model? or would it only be available on the R-Link.?

I think there is one on both. That's where the maps are stored. But not entirely sure, I think the medianav has the USB above the screen not in front of the gear stick like the r-link, but I think it still has the as card there.

Medianav comes WITHOUT any SD card slots - only one USB slot on front panel of device. Maps are stored inside the device and updating via USB memory stick with special software.
the main problem for R-link is old Android version (2.x) and 2G (not 3G) internet connection...
MediaNav has Win CE 6.0 core and also alternative firmware already avaibale for it - I use it in my car with addition options:
- Video player
- Alternate GPS software (7way and Navitel)
- Total Comander :)

Investigating for possibility to connect parking cam and engine statistics displaying on the screen

BTW, my Captur has 6 speakers - 2 in front doors, 2 in rear doors and also 2 on front panel on both sides

Anyone knows how to upgrade my maps ion medianav, as I wish to purchase european maps as well. I believe that the standard maps included are UK and ireland only, isnt it?

The latest provided maps are 2012 Q4 version. You can check versions of your cards on your device.
I get my Capture 1 months ago and got updates for firmware and for all maps installed to latest version via USB stick

You can upgrade as quoted by member Telmah as above.

I think I will ring my dealer - again!

As far as I am aware when the Captur was first launched in the UK you had to purchase European maps with the R Link there was no option not to. Shortly afterwards Renault reversed that decision and made European maps optional.

, in my top european "Intenese" - there is two addition speakers (it's looks like speakers) on front panel - I'll make photo tomorrow... - or will try to find photo in internet... It's hard to check - is sound came from it :)
On most photos in internet there is no speakers

Update:

check this photo: http://content.screencast.com/users/Telmah/folders/Jing/media/c5db05bd-7914-468e-896c-8ce9cbf469d6/00000026.png
it's visible speaker location mirrored in the front glass... on the left the same place is located another

Check your car - may be you'll have surprise for you :) Or may be I'am wrong and it's something else, not a speaker :)

: You can check your maps list and version number in system menu of your MediaNav. All maps installed in your device will be updated. Also you can try to search some addresses via "Navigate" menu outside the UK  eg. in Austria or France :)
