Do you find that the air conditioning could be or should be a little bit cooler in this warm weather.
Today, I have found that I had to turn the eco button to "off", in order to get the air con. as cool as possible.
Must admit, I have been in cooler cars.
Just hate being over heated !

If the air con is too cool you can get frostbite if your fingers are in front of the vents for hours on end (eg a long journey). "Smart" aircon systems work by cooling the air flowing from the vents but not making it too cool. Climate control will vary this temperature accordingly whereas normal aircon could result in you getting frostbite

Think I would sooner die of frost bite rather than boil in my own juices in a hot car.

Air con works fine with ECO on. I don't have a problem. Gets very cool and it is easily adjustable.
There is difference with fan speed, difference with on/off timing, etc.
In some cases (not always) switching on/off ECO you can hear difference in fan speed :)

I have been quite happy with the Aircon............what I do find is that if the interior of the car on a hot day the coolness of the aircon starts off a few plastic related rattles due to contraction.......they are a pain to trace..........but bloody annoying in an otherwise quite quiet car!!

Climate control/aircon works fine for me in our temperate climate..maybe it's not sufficiently cool enough for the guys in the warmer parts of Europe it seems.

Climate generally good enough for me, although I don't drive with ECO button pressed as that does seem to make quite a noticeable difference on a hot day.

Thing that bugs me is if I'm getting into it when it's hot and want to cool down quickly even if I turn the temp down to the blue mark it doesn't put the fan up to max like it does on every other aircon/climate equipped car I've ever been in (including a previous Clio), you have to then manually turn the fan control up to max. What's that all about?

Not noticed that fan does not go up to maximum as I generally use the manual operation. I like a really cool interior on a warm to hot day so I usually have to blast the air on maximum (with eco off) to get it cool enough for me - especially when you first get in to a hot car.

The temperatures here get quite high, but it gets the car cool enough. I can only compare it to more expensive cars where you can get refrigiration temperatures that you will not achieve in this car...but it suits me to be 'cool' rather than the afore mentioned.
I'm not a fan, pardon the punn, of having the fan on for a long peruod of time as there's a din, but like to achieve an ambient temperature and then switch to manual so the fan doesn't need to work hard or at all.
My own first car that has ac, so it's a treat!...and NO rattles in this car!!!

If at first you get into tbe car and its very hot it recommends opening the doors to let the hot interior air out initially before setting the climate controls to your desired setting.

As others have said, I find that with Eco on the air con may not be enough when it's hot, but turning Eco off its fine.
The fan does blast the air through until it's cooled down and then slows down again.

Don't know about everybody else, but my eco mode if definitely in the off position to cope with this spell of hot weather. I like it cool and with the eco buttton on, it's just blowing air, not chilling the cabin.

100% agree. My wife has been trying the Eco mode for a few weeks which seems to realise a 10% improvement in fuel economy but in the current weather the AC cannot cope and as such the Eco mode has now been switched off again. She also felt that acceleration out of junctions, we have quite a few blind ones out here in the countryside, was inadequate so I guess we will not be using it much in future. Rather a cool and safe wife than a few extra mpg <img src="http://www.capturownersclub.co.uk/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif" align="middle" /> Edited by: Perusal

Totally disagree. ECO mode on all the time and Air Con definitely cools the cabin in lowest position on dial. Accleration is fine with need to push accelerater right down to get the speed, then you can get both economy ,cooling and accleration.
