Can anybody help. Should the doors unlock automatically as we approach and get in range of the car when we have the key remote in our pocket/bag (they do lock automatically when we walk away from the car) or do we always have to use the unlock button on the key remote?. Many thanks for any replies.

The doors should not unlock automatically; either use the keycard or pull the front door handle

Pressing front small push buttons and/or fifth rear door, with keyfob on your person will unlock the car. Rear door is very handy for when you have a trolley or bags in hand, no need to go to front of car or fumble/find keyfob. Quick press of button on tailgate and your in and loading your shopping ;-)

Once you get into this routine there is no need to take keyfob out of pocket or bag, walk away car is locked with reassuring bleep, walk up to car and press any button and car is open.

if you look in handbook it says you have to be in certain zone area for your card to work.if outside that zone it will not work.if you walk away from car out of that zone it will lock itself.brill

think im right in saying the only time you need to use the key fob again is if you dead lock the car using the keyfob. this reverts though once you have been in and started the engine.after that just approaching the car with the keyfob on your person and as said using the buttons on the door unlocks it :)
