Captur 2016 - Completely dead after battery was disconnected

That's really strange. I've changed the battery on my Captur myself and had no problems; the radio code was on a sticker in the handbook. There is a little black monitoring box attached to the negative terminal of the battery (or at least there was/is on mine) - you didn't dislodge it my any chance, so that the electronics can't work out the voltage of the battery?
