Search the forums, there are a few people who have successfully swapped the medianav unit for an Android unit and have been very pleased with it. I'd do the same but it's a lease car and didn't want to risk any repercussions

 

The screen has had it... and its not like a phone or tablet where everything will be standard sizes... Theoretically it should be possible for an electronic device repair shop to replace the screen... But...

Contacted Renault UK and the guy suggested updating software version as I had not done this since 2014.
After 4 attempts it worked but only to version 4.1.0 - I am pretty sure that updates way beyond this are available though.
The process appears to have cured the issue and I now have a clear clock screen with a flashing colon ( not the solid one reported) that presumably indicates seconds.
Prior to this I did not have a colon at all, just the main digits -anyway fingers crossed!

 

Is it media Nav or media Nav evolution? The latter is up to v9.something, the media Nav is V4.something

 

Media Nav 2014 version - so perhaps my update is correct? Thanks for the information you have supplied.

 

My 2014 Nav S has developed same problem including clock display disappearing so how did you update software ?

Download the medianav tool
When you use USB make sure it is formatted before using the Renault software.
