Use a plastic knife-tool to raise the lower left corner of the frame towards yourself:

Do the same for the right corner:

After removing the frame the dash will look like this:

The back of the frame:

Remove the 4 screws and you will easily get the radio out of the dash:

Yes it is a DAEWOO Made in Korea Radio-CD:

You will now see the supporting plastic case for the Radio-CD whichcan also be removed if you unscrew the 5 screws (2 on the top, 2 on the botoom and one in the center of the back of the plastic):

What have you fitted in its place? Is the gap double-DIN or DIN-and-a-half?

Great job Capturion

I want to do the exact same thing in mine (replace the radio-cd with a gps) but I won't install a rear view camera. I have a couple of questions for the radio cd replacement:
1. The plug connections on the radio CD and on the Macrom unit are the same? Is the replacement just a plug and play replacement or do I need to take the car to a specialist to change some wiring connections?
2. Are you still able to control the volume and change the song/radio station with the commands on the wheel?
3.The new frame from Phonocar, can you tell me its reference number?

Thanks in advance.

All aftermarket units are connected to the car's cables using the ISO adapter which is included in the unit's box.

If you get the Macrom 5560r unit, the remote controls will work directly, but for the 5562r you will need an adapter at around 70 quid. Phonocar provides you with one as you can see in the link at the end of my post.

The Phonocar reference numbers can be found here:

Nicola you need the plastic cover behind the factory radio cd unit to use it as a stabiliser to skrew the unit.

Once you remove the facia and the radio unit, you will find a plastic base that is fitted using 4 skrews, 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom.

Yoy have to remove this base, cut it properly to fit the 2-DIN unit and place it as it was.

The Phonocar frame comes with two metal adaptors that will help you fit the 2-DIN unit on the plastic base. (http://www.phonocar.it/en/adapters/...ster-sandero-12-renault--captur-13/03642.html)
