I have just done the free (first) update on the SatNav. Along the way I discovered that it is important that you format the memory stick FAT 32 because the Captur SatNav will not accept NTFS which I would normally use with an 8Gb stick.
Having worked through the process I get to the last step, memstick in SatNav and get the message that the Media is not recognised. So don't know whether I have done the update or not.
My question is; Is there a way to check the update status of the SatNav?

You basically install the "Renault Media Nav Toolbox" on your PC and then follow on via the software and a usb stick to check your Captur MediaNav's current status and then update OS and Map's via the software on your PC if any are available.

Following two Renault links are a good starting point

Hope above helps, don't think Renault have same software tool for Mac and Linux PC's?...
