Without sounding patronising, have you checked the coolant level? My 64 plate TCE90 recently developed a coolant leak (turns out it was the thermostat housing) and I noticed this just before the coolant level fell below the low mark. If you haven't checked this recently, I would do so and top up if required as insufficient coolant will cause that warning light.

If everything checks out, check that the main battery is OK. If the system is not getting the voltage it needs, it is very capable of throwing out false error messages.

Basically the first thing to do is conduct your own checks to see if you can identify anything that may have made the light come on, such as low coolant level. Apart from that there are several/many reasons why the "stop" warning may have illuminated, so best to get the car professionally checked if you cannot find anything yourself

I had these warnings lights on my 2014 reg capture in Jan 20. Panicked and called out recovery as had daughter in car with me. Garage later replaced battery and topped up coolant. Warning lights showing again intermittently this week, plus the fan dosnt always turn off when I turn the engine off.
Car booked into a garagefor tuesday next week. Apart from replacing the nav/sound system Ive had no problems with the car brought from new. Info: I drive 8-10 thousand miles pa. Ill post an update next week

It's normal for the fan to stay on for a while after turning the engine off. Should turn itself off after three or four minutes. Even though the engine is not running it can still be hot and the fan helps to take some of the heat away from the water.
