The tailgaite/boot door handle on my 2017 Captur is loose, any advice on how handle is secured to door would be appreciated. Thanks.

Take off the panel on the inside and the handle is secured with 4 ten mm nuts. The door handle is all plastic and where the bolts fit on the inside breaks easily. Very poor design

 

Hi, I am.new here I have recently aquired 2016 1.5dci auto. The rear handle alway felt loose and broke the other day. The plastic bracket snapped and only 1 of the 4 bolts was in place. I have a new one. Has anyone installed one? Do you need to attatch from inside of boot? Thanks Robin

 

Yes, you will need to remove the boot trim to reach the fixing bolts. It should be farily straightforward.... from memory you will need a set of Torx drivers and maybe a trim pry tool to ease the plastic away from the tailgate when you have removed all the fixings

 

Thanks - I will give a go at the weekend. The trim the brackets that hold the bolts are snapped. I have bought one from a scrap sealer was £75.
