Media Nav issues

I have a first generation Captur, a really early model (June 2013). I've read these first generation media mav units tend to be very faulty and in fact, it has had its unit replaced after 2-3 years of ownership. Since then, the new unit worked fine for more 2-3 years and then it started flipping out again. I can't access the navigation (greyed out button) and more recently, Bluetooth stopped working completely (unit does not recognize any phone). It also refuses to let me change the hour for some reason.
Does anyone know if there is a simple enough fix to these issues? I also wanted to replace this unit to an MN2 or MN3 unit. Is the replacement just plug and play or does it involve changing the connections?

Hi @Faria_21 , you unit is first generation of MediaNav so called MN1 and is very well known that these units have memory problems.
Since 3 years, continue fail memory working.
This year, I have seen beginning also second generation MN2.
Anyway, you have to change the memory, or the unit entirely.

Can I first ask if the unit is the Rlink or media nav, have you tried a reboot of the screen? I’ve had the Rlink and media nav screens. To reboot the Rlink screen, press the home button five times in a row eg 1 2 3 4 5, the screen will shutdown then open back up hopefully resolving any issues. Now for the media nav screen to reboot, press the on/off button and hold it in for 30 seconds and it will shutdown and restart again hopefully resolving any issues. I had issues with both as I’ve had both screens ( had 17 and 19 plate captur) and did reboot on both for issues and reboot resolved both times. It’s worth a try.
