Emailed three Renault CEOs,different departments, and made complaint about their "Customer Care"(if ever a department was given the wrong title, that has to be top contender)departments lack of action. Made two more phone calls to RCC and still unable to speak to the person "dealing" with my case. Informed them the phone answering person that if the elusive case operative had not sorted things out and actually spoken to me by midday Tuesday Sept 5th I was going to contact Trading Standards and the motoring press. That was @ 16.40 on Sept 1st. Had text from elusive person @ 18.10 with profuse apologies and promise to be in touch to resolve things first thing Monday morning. We shall see.
Out of curiosity I went to local Renault dealers to enquire about cost and availability of pre 03/2016 wiper arms. They are available but only in France at an eye watering £122 for the pair!!!!! Or I could buy a set of OE rubbish blades to replace the set of OE rubbish blades I already have, for £44!!!
Parts person also suggested I book my car in so that they could run a diagnostic test on my wiper blades. I know I'm old but didn't realise I looked senile.

Finally got to speak to Renault Customer(don't)Care, all they are willing to do is have my blades tested at local Renault dealership. Waste of time.
So,does anyone have a Bosch,Michelin,Champion or other quality wiper blade UK part number for my 66 plate car with the post 03/2016 wiper arms? Please.
I cannot find any listed anywhere. I desperately need some better blades and refuse to buy OE crap.

Earlier in he year I posted this-

Just fitted Bosch Aerotwin set to my May 2016 Captur.
Renault production W Blade change date March 2016
Took 5 minutes and very easy.
Very clear screen as you would expect from Bosch.
Part available as special order.
PART NUMBER 3 397 014 261 or A261S from Andrew Page factors £40.04
Although in free supply most factors would not be stocking as w blades are usually recommended to be replaced every 18-24...

Hope this helps.

I have been
disappointed with the captur's wiper blades right from the start
I've decided to give
the replacement blade rubbers off ebay a try

I am delighted with
them, after ordering a set of two 26"" blades for 99 pence

I found that I could
replace all three blades after cutting one of the 26"" blades.

If you do decide to
give them a chance then go on to this youtube site
it's shows you how to
replace them.

What year model is your Captur

Give Euro Car Parts a try for the Captur Bosch Aerotwin wiper blades.
My original fitted Renault Vareo blades were crap and that was the first thing I did was to buy new set of front wiper blades.

Renault changed the design for the wiper blade arms on 2016 Captur models but companies are slow on the uptake to stock the new fit wiper blades.
Google is your friend

Thanks for replies,I tried a set of A261S blades that Euro Car Parts ordered in for me. We couldn't get them to fit. Any tips on how to do it? Any photos or footage out there I could look at?I didn't know you could change just the rubber wiping edge, thought the blade was one piece of rubber. Will have to look into that. Thanks again.

My first set from euro parts only fit pre march 16, this is what I got

OK folks, it's a big thanks to @Passionwagon for the product code number and package photo.

Ordered this exact set from POWERSPARKS on eBay.
Arrived in two days even though ordered at 20.48 pm.

Order details

BOSCH A261S [3397014261] AEROTWIN WIPER BLADES fits RENAULT CAPTUR 03/16-
Item Number 382137480824

COST £28.28 inc vat and delivery.

Fitted in a couple of minutes after checking box instructions as these slide into wiper arm from back not from front as mine did.

But a perfect snug click lock fit.

Now I can drive in the rain easy.
The OEM ones were naff and never wiped rain clear always had lots of lines as if the edge of blade was serrated. You couldn't see it on the rubber itself but very obvious in rain.

And just to be sure I did not clean the window so could make clear (pun intended) comparison but now but now got perfect clear vision in wet.

Thanks to all others who contributed too.

What year model is your Captur

My Captur 1.5 dci 90 is a 2015 model

Found some info on another thread on here last night about Bosch Aero Twin A261S wiper blades and how to fit them. Instructions on the box say slide in from the rear of wiper arm end on 03/2016> Captur. Tried a few weeks ago from the front as OE blades fit that way and failed, directions on box obscured by a large sticker. Went to Euro Car Parts today, fortunately they still had the set they ordered for me a few weeks ago,and peeled off the sticker. Tried again as per instructions and YEE HAAA they only bloody fit!!
£27 well spent.

Could you post a video to help the people who are struggling

I found the Bosch Aerotwins to be simple to fit on the Captur and the general consensus here is that they are one of the best make to use on the Captur and other models.
Why Renault still get away fitting the crappy Vareo blades which are very poor in my opinion and never fitting the Bosch is baffling.

Glad you got them fitted.
Euro Car Parts are usually quite cheap to buy these from.

Hi I agree fitted a set of Bosch wipers a few days ago so easy to fit no problem

I've just bought a new bosch drivers wiper, it comes with 4 different peices to fit various arms, I'm a practical person and do most jobs around the house, service the cars, change brakes etc but I'm buggered if I can figure out how to fit it, anyone got a video link? It states on the box it's for a captur!

I can't answer because you haven't put the year of your captur. I did wife's 65 plate last week, with the bosch with the four pieces, two minute job. But they changes in 2016.

If you have a mobile phone, download a QR code reader and look at the leaflet that came with the blades. Once you find the wiper arm that looks like the captur (just a straight arm with a kink and a square hole in the end) copy the QR code, open the link and, voila, a video. It really is simple.Edited by: STEVEA
