Software update to recalibrate the engines computer

On my Renault app, I’ve received a message that says “Our teams have identified your vehicle requires a software update to recalibrate the engines computer. Without this update you may see the STOP warning lights and ELECTRICAL FAILURE DANGER message on your vehicle’s dashboard. You may also experience a breakdown”

Has anybody else received this message? The car is a 2023 Rive Gauche Hybrid, but I assume it applies to all hybrid engine cars?

I will of course arrange to book it in to be looked at.

Yes I have had the same message and the car is only 7 weeks past delivery date, 460 miles, captur phev. I had similar problems with my previous Renault, Megane, told me if I didn’t stop the engine would be irreparably damaged. Alarming. However kept on driving and it was ok. Eventually the software was corrected. Will contact dealership next week.

Yes I have I wanted to know does the update patch include the high revving issues fix as well
It includes all them you said above
But I hear there was a update to fix revs as well I'm wondering if this is the update that will include that issue along with them above ????
First, I wouldn’t know until they take it in to do the update and second, as I previously posted, my car was only delivered on 1st March and I’ve not noticed the high reving, so my car might already have that update? It’s going to be a while until I can get my car booked in due to an extended forthcoming holiday, so maybe someone else can report their findings?

Also I had one before but sold it soon after for this bose edition model
But that update is for all models on the engineered e tech
It happened on that car I had it came on the dash display it lite up all in red flashing and said stop car engine failure and all above as you say what the update include's,

All that came up when it was snowing and screen camera sensor couldn't read anything in front and sensors had snow on them ,
I'm thr thinking car then runs a system errors self scan thinking what's up it can't read anything in front,
Then the dash display went all red and all it says in the update was displayed systems errors stop car etc etc but when I put car in reverse to back ip drive it went off,
I didn't see it again,
but as I just pulled up to the driveway is when it happened came on said there as been a systems failure etc etc,
but like I said it went off as I reversed up drive and the engine management sign went off as well,
I not see it again,
but few weeks later I sold car for this one but that car I sold was brand new sold it back with 200 miles on so there is a problem with them all on this issue and high revs as well so I'm hoping this update fixes all the above and high revs,
do you know
who's had the update fix and if the engine runs smoother ? ???
Let me know thanks
Booked me car in for it to be done it takes over 5 hours so they need the car for a day just to let you all know but as I say know one seems to know if it includes a fix for the high revving issues it revs far to high just to charge the batteries ridiculous no need for it smoother revs still do same job.

Will let all know after if it fixes the high revs issue once I had it done not booked in till 9th June 2023.

Yours will do it take it on a dual carriageway drive at 50mph plus when engine needs kick in you see it revs high the gas pedal does nothing to control then engine revs so engine acts like a generator just sitting there revving it's guts out
The electric motors are doing the driving of the vehicle
and the engine is revving it's nuts off charging the batteries up as you go along
Rubbish design no need to rev so high steady revs do same job they just need sort it out
Make engine have lower revs you soon find out with yours

I was getting high revs before the update but not very often since the update still getting high revs but they don't seem as high as before. I get the impression that it seems to charge up quicker when rolling down hills and the fuel consumption seems to be better. Today on a run from Melton Mowbray to Derby the car computer read 62mpg average.

I have a 22 Meghan Sport and had the recall done, it made my car worse, over revs around 20-30 MPH and now gets stuck in gear 3 sometimes 4!! I take my foot of the accelerator rev don’t die down so sometimes I have to physically pull over and stop the car, switch it off. And trim on again! It’s happening nearly every car drive and I drive as a Dostric nurse up to 12hrs a day. I called and booked another app as they suggest if I experience continuing issues to contact them which I did. I took the car back and I have been told it’s a ‘ characteristic’ of the car and there’s nothing they can do! Before the recall she would do it sporadically with no gear issues….now every journey! I can hear it and feel it in the peddles! I’ve also had the STOP and Engine Magamemt lights come on and loose of power twice!! Really frustrated with Renault who seem aware there’s an issue and now being told it’s a characteristic of the car!!!

Yes, She’s back in on the 1st Aug!! I’m not happy and they know this! sorry for all my typos! I’m cooking tea as I write, I was ‘Googling’ too see if there was anyone experience this issue and come across your post!! I maybe a girl and can do the minimal to keep the car running but I know cars should not be over revving or getting stuck in gear!

Had a 1 year service on my Captur E-tech Hybrid today that included a 'Reprogramming of Engine Computers' (x4 apparently). Code given as BLUE OTS 0E2M. I had over revving issues as well as spurious warning and service tech advised recall covers the over revving. Went 5 miles on dual carriageway on the way home with no sign of over rev, even when I floored it on a hill. Hopefully that will fix the issue. Recall took 4 hours plus service. Have googled BLUE OTS 0E2M and found nothing. Never got any notification on my App and didn't receive letter as recall classed as 'non-safety'. Try qualifying that when trying to overtake a lorry on a hill in the highlands at night and the car won't change gear!!!

After the update, the behaviour of the engine has changed considerably. No longer does it over rev, but also when cold and the engine starts, it stays on. I presume until it’s warmed up. Even if there is enough charge.

I popped to the supermarket today and the car had over 70% charge but the engine still had to start (going up hill) but was quiet and stayed on all the way there and for the first time since owning the car, the battery got to 100%.

Let you know once had update if engine any better Regards
I have got the update (Megane Plugin hybrid sport tourer) last week. But I found the car runs less smooth after update (louder noise from the engine). The steering wheel even started minor vibrating when drive on the highway. Anyone had same (bad) experience? WTF has this update done to the car?
