ÂŁ12900!?!?

Wow, I thought we were doing well with ÂŁ14700.
Ours is the 1.5dci with the satnav/17 in wheels etc.
Ours is too, but solid blue (no fancy colour scheme) and silver alloys wheels, not the ones with colour inserts. I must say I think that will benefit us when trading it in, one man's idea of which colours match might not be anothers.

To be honest, any studies are irrelevant when I'm regularly switching between the two cars and can hear the difference in build quality on every drive. If your Captur isn't rattling, more power to you.
I have every faith it will.

People only write on the internet about complaints, you could go on every car forum and conclude every car is a lemon on that theory.

I agree with this.

I also think the dealerships need to be looked at here too. If you do get a problem you need a good solid reliable dealer who will sort the issues out with no fuss and not leave you fighting to get issues fixed.

If you have a dealer like that, then odd rattles and faults shouldn't be too much of an issue. It's fighting to get them sorted where the real issues begin.

Not really, but I might see a great big bloke who looks like he was put in through the window banging his head on the inside of its roof.

Well, the same dealership here in Spain was selling Dacias, Renaults and Nissans, so we had a look at each. My wife is fairly short and so the seats being able to adjust height wise was a criteria. The Dacias failed as there is no driver seat adjustment and the seating position wasn't high enough for her. Never mind the cheap feeling door handles etc.

The Juke (which I didn't like because of looks anyway) did have height adjustment on the driver's side seat but when my wife sat in it she said it didn't seem to go high enough and she couldn't get a comfortable driving position.

However, when she sat in the Captur she was instantly capturvated as it felt to her really comfortable and of course my prime motivation in life is keeping my wife happy.

I will confess that this is a rather shallow comparison as opposed to build quality and everything else but nevertheless quite important. I am a good bit taller at 6ft but the driving position suits me as well and I also find the car very comfortable to drive.

So far no rattles or problems but I have to agree with a previous poster regarding the Friday afternoon car. My wife has had quite a few new cars even the same model (always small cars) and out of 3 new Sear Arosas, one was an absolute disaster, one was brilliant and the other was OK. The same with 3 new Fiat Pandas except out of 3 only one was a problem.

I have no doubt there will be problems with any make of new car but so far so good and as I said before , we are extremely pleased with our Captur.

I just hope that this time we have been lucky as the last and only French car we owned was a secondhand Renault 12 GTL and it was brilliant.
